Myles Lewis-Skelly nominated for 2026 Golden Boy award

Arsenal's Myles Lewis-Skelly has been named among the nominees for this year's Golden Boy award, the prize handed out annually to the best young player in Europe.

The Evening Standard confirms the award is organised by Italian newspaper Tuttosport and is given to the best male player on the continent under the age of 21, with Arsenal and Chelsea both having players featured among the finalists (Evening Standard).

Arsenal's official club website simply confirms the news with the headline "Myles Lewis-Skelly nominated for Golden Boy Award", marking the recognition of the young midfielder's progress (Arsenal.com).

Sky Sports adds further detail, reporting that Lewis-Skelly is one of 25 players included on the shortlist this year, and notes that the list is "PL-dominated", suggesting a strong presence of Premier League talent among the nominees alongside the Arsenal and England man (Sky Sports).

All three outlets agree on the central point: Lewis-Skelly's inclusion on the Golden Boy shortlist reflects his breakthrough form for both club and country this season. There is no disagreement between the reports, though Sky Sports provides the clearest picture of the scale of the shortlist, while the Evening Standard gives the wider context of the award's Italian origins and the involvement of other Premier League clubs such as Chelsea.

For Arsenal fans, the nomination is another marker of Lewis-Skelly's rapid rise, with the young midfielder now being spoken of in the same breath as the best emerging talents across European football.
