Arsenal Lunchtime Round-Up, Saturday 31st October 2026: Merson Backs Liverpool to Beat Arsenal at Anfield

The big talking point this lunchtime is Sunday's trip to Anfield, with Paul Merson predicting that Liverpool will come out on top against Arsenal in the clash. The Sky Sports pundit said plainly, "I would pick Liverpool," giving the Gunners' hosts the nod ahead of kick-off (Sky Sports).

Arsenal themselves have been putting the finishing touches to their preparations, with the club's own channels giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at training as Mikel Arteta's side get ready for the showdown on Merseyside (Arsenal.com).

Down at youth level there was no shortage of goals, as the U18s put on quite a show at home to Brentford, running out 6-4 winners in a real end-to-end affair (Arsenal.com).
