Arsenal Lunchtime Round-Up, Tuesday 6th October 2026: Gyokeres and Calafiori Shine on International Duty

It's been a good week on the international scene for a couple of Arsenal's stars. Viktor Gyokeres netted the winner as Sweden beat Romania 1-0 in the Nations League, continuing his rich scoring form ahead of his return to north London (Arsenal.com) (Football.London). Football.London note that the goal saw Gyokeres make history, with Mikel Arteta's earlier prediction about the striker now ringing true (Football.London).

Riccardo Calafiori also had a night to remember, scoring his first-ever international goal as Italy beat Turkey 3-1 in Bologna (Arsenal.com) (Football.London) (Football.London). Football.London report that Roberto Mancini had plenty of praise for the defender afterwards, delivering exactly the kind of feedback Arteta would want to hear about his player (Football.London). Calafiori also gave his honest take on the Ballon d'Or race, with three Arsenal players among those nominated this year (Football.London).

Away from the pitch, Arsenal Direct have launched the Topps 26/27 Collector Tin for fans looking to add to their club memorabilia (Arsenal.com).
